My stay at New Bahia was an authentic Moroccan experience, though there were a few drawbacks. The breakfast was fresh and a lovely way to start my day, but I had some challenges with my room's layout and facilities. Overall, the friendly staff and beautiful setting made it a pleasant visit.

Rooms
5.0
The room had a very authentic feel, though it was cramped with little space around the bed. I also missed having windows and functional furniture like a hair dryer or fridge. Unfortunately, there was no privacy in the bathroom due to a wall that didn't reach the ceiling.
Service

The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when I needed assistance with storing my bicycle and arranging a taxi to the airport. They maintained a good level of privacy during my stay, which I appreciated.
Location

The location was fantastic, being close to Bahia Palace and the lively Jemma el Fna Square, offering me a true taste of Moroccan life right at my doorstep.
Dining

Breakfast was basic but enjoyable, featuring Moroccan breads and pastries. However, dinner options required pre-ordering, and the delayed service took away from the overall experience.
Facilities

While the riad had lovely communal areas and a great roof terrace, I found the lack of basic amenities in my room disappointing, such as no kettle or functional mirrors was a setback.

5.0/10

My stay at the New Bahia Riad in Marrakesh was quite pleasant overall, though there were a few hiccups. While the location is a little tricky to navigate, with narrow winding roads to the central medina, the tranquil atmosphere of the riad made it a lovely retreat. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, even adjusting my breakfast time when I requested it. However, I did notice the door lock could use some improvement for added security.

My double room was quite comfortable and featured a lovely design that allowed for natural light and fresh air. The bed was incredibly cozy.

The staff were very accommodating, arranging airport transfers and even a late dinner for me when my flight was delayed.
Location

While it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the central medina, the winding, narrow streets can be a bit overwhelming at times. However, the calm of the riad was a perfect antidote to the city's hustle.

Breakfast was delicious and varied, with friendly staff to serve it. I appreciated the options available each day, although 9 AM was a bit late for me.

The riad featured a lovely roof terrace that provided splendid views, as well as a downstairs bathroom for guest use, which was very convenient during my stay.

My stay at New Bahia in Marrakesh offered a blend of cultural charm and some challenges. The traditional look of the place and the friendly staff made me feel welcome, but the room's lack of amenities and basic food options could be improved. Despite these issues, the location was fantastic, making it a decent choice for exploring the city.

Rooms

My twin room was quite cramped, and I struggled to maneuver around the bed. The sink design was awkward, often leaving me drenched when I washed my face. I was also disappointed by the lack of a TV, kettle, or functional mirrors, and I had to pay for ironing my clothes, which added to the inconvenience.
Service
6.0
The staff, especially Fatima and Idriss, were friendly and helpful whenever I needed assistance. They really gave their best effort to make my stay more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
New Bahia is perfectly situated near Bahia Palace and the bustling Jemma el Fna Square. It was easy to explore Marrakesh from there, and the charming courtyard and roof terrace offered lovely sunset views.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were fairly basic – I had to order meals a few hours in advance, and my dinners were often late. While I enjoyed the Moroccan breads at breakfast, the overall variety felt limited and could use some enhancements.
Facilities
5.0
While the atmosphere was authentically Moroccan, the facilities left something to be desired. There were no mini fridges or kettles in the room, and I faced some Wi-Fi issues during my stay, which made it hard to plan my days.

I had a lovely experience at New Bahia, with its friendly staff and beautiful rooftop spots to unwind. However, the riad itself could use some updates and I did face some noise issues during my stay. Despite that, I felt welcomed and relaxed in this charming oasis amidst bustling Marrakech.

Rooms

My twin room was thematically decorated and cozy, although I did find it a bit congested. Overall, it felt very special, especially with the attention to detail.
Service

The staff, especially Fatima, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived, which was fantastic.
Location

New Bahia is conveniently close to a market and about a 15-minute walk to the central medina, though the winding streets and traffic can be quite stressful. I appreciated the calm retreat it offered after a busy day out.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast offered was nice, and the overall dining experience added to my stay, although I wish there were more dining options right nearby.
Facilities

The riad has lovely facilities like a rooftop spa area and a beautiful atrium, but some areas need repairs and updates, especially the bathroom and rooftop furniture.
